A Simple Command
God doesn't make us do anything. He loves us regardless of our flaws and mistakes, but He doesn't want us to wallow in them. He sets standards. He has things He wants and requires us to do:
Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. (Mark 12:30, Matthew 22:37, Deuteronomy 6:5, and Luke 10:27)
Love your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:34)
Later on in the Bible, God tells us to love one another as God loves us, therefore love one another. He said that probably because He knew some people do not love themselves, but in putting that in the Bible we have no excuse to not love, because He loves without boarders or limitations. There is no excuse to not love, it’s just that simple.
