Toy Heart

People treat hearts like toys.

They take what is given to them

Later tossing it to the side, like it doesn’t belong to them.

It’s the ones that throw your heart so high

You’re all the way at cloud nine

That make you forget about gravity

And its detrimental severity

They don’t want to deal with downs

So as you fall they’ll let you drown

They’re not there to catch you when you fall

However, that will never stop me from loving all.
