The Paper Airplane Effect

Sometimes we don't want to admit it but it may be time to move on. We need to embrace the time to change. It's a time to let the wind set our planes into flight. We may not know where we're going but that's the best part. Take the time to float in the wind and let it take you to the next landing spot. When we land we should evaluate our surroundings with a willingness to learn. It may not seem like a place where we would want to be but we're there to learn something. We should embrace the lessons no matter how big or small. You'll know within when it's time to take flight. Everything will start to line up, you'll feel the release, and before you know it... whoosh. You've taken flight. You'll land once again in areas in which lesson are to be learned and memories made. People will think you're crazy, but all the best people are.

Now, don't get me wrong. We do sometimes get the false feeling of takeoff. We want out of something because it no longer tickles our fancy or we get bored. So we start trying to make things line up ourselves. We try to set ourselves into flight mode and push ourselves off the ground, but just when you feel like you're flying... BANG!!! You hit the ground. WHY, because you can not force the wind to blow in a direction when it's not time. We are forced back into learning the same lesson all over again because we either didn't get it the first time or we disregard and disvalued its importance and we need that lesson under our belt in order to take flight again. Sometimes we continuously ignore the lesson and we still wonder why we can't take flight to new places. You may not be in the same physical place, but recognize that wherever you go you still have to learn that lesson. While in a place as a paper airplane we should share our stories. It may help someone with the lesson that they are learning, motivate someone to keep flying, or even inspire them. Our planes are our lives, our stories, and our lessons learned. They are what make us unique, and give us character. They should be available to be read and to learn from. I'm proud of my paper plane, are you?

Sincerely,

A Paper Airplane
