Lavenda
We’ve made a dynamic duet my friend. We have made a memory out of a mess, a runway out of ruins, and a club out of a cupcake shop. We managed to take someone’s hurtful and shady words and twist them into some amazing jokes. The stupid videos and pictures we sent to each other on a daily basis made our hearts so full of joy and laughter. So much so that people envied our joy and strived to rob it from us, but boy did they fail. They brought about their own destruction by making our friendship stronger. We looked like we were drunk, stupid fools but we were really living our best life. Our personal stories taught each other values and lessons of life and the joy and struggles it brings. Meanwhile, the story of us taught others to overcome trials and laugh in the midst of adversity. The tears we’ve shed together were sometimes of joy and sometimes of sadness. I regret neither. The tears of joy stemmed from laughter beyond comprehension making memories and a story for generations to come. The tears of sadness stemmed from leaving people in a potentially not so good situation but never leaving them in our hearts, and harsh words said to one another that broke the other’s heart. Nevertheless all these tears are not in vain for these are the tears of true friendship. They build people and bring them together. For us that came too easy. We embraced the “suck” together, and fought it through to the end. You’ve taught me so much in the ways of cakes. But nothing amounts to what you’ve taught me on friendship beyond the walls of my past. You’ve taught me that out of every bad job I may have you can always make a friend. Although, they will never be as ICONIC as us. Thank you for reminding me that I’m not a failure and that I will amount to something, even when others habitually said otherwise and for defending me until the end. We need more of you in this world, but who could ever be as LAVENDA as you!
Truly Honestly,
Ya Hoe
